A Thousand Questions

Here I am, send me.

Simple words but full of complexity. How can anyone comprehend what will be asked of them? It's impossible to know where the assignment will be, how long it will last, what it will take from us. And yet we whisper these words casually. Do we reflect on their reality?

Here I am. Yes, we all start from here, from our own personal here; from our experiences, our family, our baggage, our mistrust, our capacity to love, our mess and our beauty. Here is an acceptance of where we are, the understanding that we cannot change ourselves, we cannot be someone other than who we are. Standing with arms wide open before the stage of the universe, before the sun, moon and all the stars and galaxies, crying out with both desperation and hope. HERE I AM.

Send me. Although I know I can't do it. Although I know the task is too great. Although I'm afraid I may falter and fall along the way. Although the darkness is great and my light is so small. SEND ME.
